Brave Badria – Defeat Terrorism with Childrens Stories

“The Brave Badria” is a book about a young Afghan girl who fights terrorism in her own village in Afghanistan.


It is written by Capt. Matt Wilson who spent time in Afghanistan training the Afghan Special Forces.


Capt. Matt is kindly donating the royalties from all of his book sales to Zwan Family Charity for the year of 2017.

The Brave Badria


Another 24 Hour Marathon in aid of our Warm Up Qambar Camp campaign will be held on the 9th & 10th December 2016 in aid of the Warm Up Qambar Camp Campaign! Runners will be running at high altitude and in very cold weather BUT we have faith they will complete the course!

Pet Halloween Costume Competition

Zwan Family Charity is hosting a Pet Halloween Costume Competition with proceeds going to cover costs of routine medical care for the children of Shamsa Village Orphanage. The event is being sponsored by Ms Louise Hastie and The Mutz Nutz. Find out more about The Mutz Nutz HERE 

The first Annual Pet Halloween Costume Contest is complete. We raised 90USD for the medical bills for the orphans of Kabul. Thank you to each and everyone of you who participated. We had a lot of fun with this!

A charity fun day was held in Spain in aid of Zwan Family Charity. We were overwhelmed with the level of support given to us and amazed by the local and international artists who gave their time for free! A raffle was held and there were many prizes donated by local businesses and a few Afghan prizes, too! The generous people of Orihuela Costa donated a whopping 2200USD which will be used to fund routine medical treatment for the Shamsa Village Orphange. A huge thank you to everyone who made the day a success!

We continue to go international in our fundraising efforts! Two events were recently held in the USA, a Garage Sale and a Mary Kay party held via Facebook! Both events raised close to $1000!! Thank you to everyone who gave so generously, the money is being used to pay for medical bills for the kids at Shamsa Village Orphanage!

Zwan Family Charity held its Annual Grand Raffle Draw on Thursday 5th May 2016 – all winners have been notified.


Thank you to everyone around the world who purchased raffle tickets! We raised $7,964.33 which will be used for our General Funds which purchases medicines, wheelchairs etc.

29/30 APRIL 2016

Zwan Family Charity hosted a 30 Hour Ultra Marathon on Friday 29th & Saturday 30th April 2016 in aid of the Keep Qambar Warm Campaign. We were raising money to purchase tarpaulins for 1300 families who have fled their homes due to conflict and are living in an Iternally Displaced Persons camp on the outskirts of Kabul.

We raised a total of $8,089!! Thank you to everyone for donating and sponsoring the runners and walkers!
